THE MONEY

Which state quietly got $35.8 million from the Trump Administration for apprenticeship?

I reveal $100 million in unannounced grant awards. Which is weird.

It turns out the Trump Administration has been awarding missing workforce development cash.

It’s just not announcing it, which is weird.

And it spent nearly 13 percent of direct Registered Apprenticeship funding on one state, then didn’t tell anybody about most of what it spent, which is interesting.

Below, I share a previously unannounced apprenticeship award of nearly $36 million. In the relative terms of awards of Congress’ underfunded and overstretched appropriations for Registered Apprenticeship funding, that is a titanic amount.

Also, I share the winners of two missing federal workforce awards, which do not appear to have been publicly announced or reported elsewhere.
